Stories of Change

Change can be hard. But I have done this before, and I can do it again with you. This library captures the stories of great change by brave individuals that placed their faith in me to guide them towards their dreams.

A Change in Career

30 years down the line, you shouldn’t regret the path not taken. Your career is in your hands. Read the stories of those how took the big steps for themselves.

Nova

When I decided to transition my lifework to massage therapy, Lē was the first person to support me in my decision and the only one who created a safe space for me to dream and believe that I could be successful. Now, eight years into my career, I owe them a huge thank you.

Diana

The Change Agent helped me understand my worth. I was being paid $50/hour for a management role that was worth $80 at a company that was an utter mess. With their help, I was able to move into a better company, on an amazing team, for the pay that I’m worth.

End of Life

30 years down the road, your family shouldn’t regret not having the time to know you better. Exit the world on your terms, leaving nothing left unsaid.

Mary

Mary Ellen was my mother. She died in 2013, when I was just 16 years old after a 4 year battle with cancer. Our family didn’t have the knowledge about human psychology and grief that I have today, so we did not prepare, we did not say goodbye, and Mary left very little of herself and her story behind.

As time passes, I’ve often wondered what Mary might have said to me at important milestones in my life; at my graduation, my wedding, when I came out as non-binary, and when I discovered that I’m Autistic. I also wonder what her life was like, who she was beyond a mother.

I feel the loss of not being able to answer these questions every day, and it is this sorrow that I hope to save you and your family from, by walking you through a series of rituals and story recordings that will allow you to leave something behind and to face and process death in a healthy way.

A Change in Identity Expression

30 years down the line, you shouldn’t regret never sharing your true self with the world. Who are you? If you’re a little older like me, you know the answer to this question changes over time. Here are some folks who made some big changes to their identity.

My first husband and the father of my first two children is a narcissist. Due to constant gaslighting, control, and narcissistic emotional abuse, I stayed in a miserable marriage for seven years.

When I was finally ready to make the change that I had known for so long was needed, the Change Agent ensured that me and my boys had a safe place to stay while I separated from my husband. They helped me retain legal counsel and explained to me my rights as a stay-at-home mom and more than once stepped in with a protective hand when my soon-to-be ex-husband tried to use his manipulations to leave me with far less than my fair share of our marital assets.

During the separation, they taught me rituals and strategies for getting in

touch with the deepest part of my heart, a place that had been buried for safety for so long. They gave me above all the gift of safe space to hear my own inner voice.

That was a few years ago. Today, I am remarried to a man who treats me like a queen, and I have rediscovered myself.

To give you some extra examples I’d like to share just some of the identity changes that I’ve personally experienced: significant style and cultural changes, a change in religion, a change in gender identity, coming out at demisexual, a diagnosis of neurodivergence, a change in the kind of person I want to be and kinds of others I want to surround myself with.

A Change in Location

30 years down the line, you shouldn’t regret not getting on that flight. Read the stories of those who left their nests to find new homes in faraway lands.

Rachel

My husband Jeremy and I talked about moving away from our home state to someplace sunny, but our friends and family never understood the drive. Without encouragement or support, we felt stuck. Then we called the Change Agent. Lē became our cheerleader.

They helped us communicate our needs to my family and, in what can only be described as a complete miracle, got my mother to finally understand and, for the first time, really see me and why I wanted a change so badly.

Jeremy and I now live in sunny Arizona. Seriously, it’s like living on the face of the sun! We love it!

My mother and I moved around quite a bit when I was a kid, but my first big move as an adult was to Salt Lake City, UT from Chicago, IL. I’d never seen mountains like those before! Breathtaking. 😀
